Dedicated Editor For Your Comic

TEAMWORKING TO SUCCEED

When you publish with Botcomics you’re joining a team that’s dedicated to working for your comic’s success. While a number of people will be involved with the production of your comic — penciler, inker, colorist, letterer — every comic run gets a dedicated editor to coordinate all the talent involved in the run. Your editor will be your first point of contact and you’ll work as a team towards the overall success of your comic run.

Your editor’s job is to produce the best comic possible. Be prepared to accept his feedback. Your editor will help you perfect your comic’s script. The more precise and well-written your script, the better your vision will be translated to the page. A middling illustrator with an excellent script will produce a better comic than even the best illustrator with no artistic direction. This is why your editor’s first job is to work with your script.

After the script is complete a creative team will be selected and illustration will begin. Authors that want to participate in the process will get to see their illustrations progress from sketches to inks and finally all the way to full color. Your editor is responsible for quality control during the entire process and will ensure that the finished comic comes as close to your vision as possible.

"Talent wins games, but teamwork wins championships."
