Like so many others lured into the Spells R’ Us Shop Dave didn’t know what he was in for with the actual magic goods lining the shelves, fortunately for him he was only window shopping. Unfortunately, for Dave and the surrounding community he still felt bad leaving what he thought was a non-franchise store without buying anything, so he bought a box of seemingly generic ‘Animal Crackers’ from near the register. What Dave didn’t know is that this box of animal crackers (which holds one hundred unique crackers) that once opened find a way of distributing its contents into the hands and soon digestive tracts of bystanders leaving the buyer with only one in the box. As each cracker is eaten the magic takes hold an hour later transforming them into an attractive anthropomorphic female version of the animal represented, one that is driven by heat leading those changed to (after a three-hour contagious period where they seek to spread their condition through to others of either gender) seek to mate and propagate their new sub-species. How long will the resulting animalistic orgy last? How far will it spread? What state will the Dave and others be in when they come to?

Not a bad concept, though one suggestion I would put forth is that the box has pairs of cookies, a male and a female of each species so that mating pairs can seek each other out. You can still have fun with gender swaps as some cookies will be impossible to tell the male from the female until they are eaten. You could even throw in some herm or chimera if one person eats either both cookies of the same animal or two different animal cookies.
To give more flesh to the setting and how the crackers spread. Put the story at Halloween, Dave is only his way to party where the costume theme is animals where couples dress as the same animal, he’s going stag so he’s dressed as one and grabs the cookies liking the irony as well. When he arrives he sets them on the snack table after snagging the cookie of his own animal from the pile first. Others do the same and maybe make the transformation rather than holding off an hour be gradual, where people think the changes are just part of a person’s costume so no one freaks out at first, maybe make things like making out, giving in to animal instincts or mating speed it up.
Do we want to limit the crackers to mammals only to keep in with the lactation idea or not care about that aspect of animal transformations? Do we want to make the setting more rural to have barns or something for people to hide in or sneak off to or maybe make it seaside to include some aquatic animal transformations or keep it more urban?
For animals I believe the default animals found in a typical box include bear, bison, camel, cougar, elephant, giraffe, gorilla, hippopotamus, hyena, kangaroo, koala, lion, monkey, rhinoceros, seal, sheep, tiger, and zebra.
That gives us three feline couples, Hyena could be interesting to see given their sort of unique genitalia. The only animals I can think to add would be goat, fox (because you need at least one foxy lady at a party), panther, racoon, rabbit, deer, and wolf.
Whoever get the Hyena cracker is going to be having a very interesting time, and be an assertive female. Quick note for those who don’t know, Hyenas are aggressively matriarchal, and the case of the spotted Hyena, the females have a pseudo phallus that they use as part of their dominance practices, which means it’s used as an equal opportunity with males and females, and it’s also used in childbirth (as you can imagine, this makes things very painful).
which was what I was referring to, could be a nice bit of bait and switch in a sense if the person changing doesn’t know that and assumes from part of the transformation that they got the male chracker when in fact they got the female.
Never said that it would only be the animals in a typical box, the story that I pulled the idea from had foxes, rabbits, spiders, bees, sharks, dogs, wolves, pandas, zebras, and frogs before the story petered out. As for paired crackers that would cut down on the variety of possible anthros, although that might be what the writer/artist might want if this ever gets made. As for the male anthros well I would hope that is saved that for the period when the eaters and their…’victims’ turn to reproductive mating giving the story ff and mf (as well as possibly including mff and fff).
Just because the box has paired crackers I don’ think it will decrease the variety, the box itself could also be enchanted so no matter how many crackers are eaten more appear in the box either immediately over after a period of time which I think would add all the variety one would need and I think is a better set up for a situation like, say someone gets the idea to crush one or more crackers into dust or fragments and sneak it into something and watch a whole crowd of people transform
